Crown have recently begun to work for clients abroad, fabricating both systems products available in the UK and also bespoke system which are shipped in from overseas. Over 13% of all fabricated products in the UK are brought in fabricated from overseas sources.
It make sense to bring into the UK profile and accessories which takes up far less space in transport than to bring in large elements of windows and facades which take up a lot of space. With strong communication links via CAD and CNC software Crown are able to manufacture product locally in the UK for any overseas company and offer precise fabricated products.

Software seems to be the route to go:
Crown adopts a new European state of the art software package from Orgadata AG which allows fenestration product to be designed by their customers in a CAD format for approval and once approved by the main contractor simply put into production using the same software. Early trials indicate that the software can improve throughput of production whilst further enhancing design flexibility and accuracy.
